All Moved In

Well, I spent the last weekend moving in to my new pad and swimming. Of course, I was that idiot that forgot to wear sunscreen! So now my shoulders and chest are flamin' red! Oh, and you all know what it is like to be sunburned and in the shower...YOW!!!

Anyway, the move-in went great! And I got to hang out with some buds down on the river to watch the fireworks last night. Slightly bigger show than in my hometown of Vienna, which boasts 1400 people within the city limits. And you have gotta love Kacy and the Sunshine Band leading us all to a patriotic 80's night!

So, I tellya what...I am losing my zeal for this blogging stuff! I am on the edge of leaving the land of blog for greener pastures. It seems that all my friends are on Xanga. And I am new to this stuff, so I may just try to test the waters there, if at all. Who knows...I may not decide to leave at all. All I know is that I am basically having a dialogue (I guess that would be a monologue, right?) with myself on this thing. I don't know...It could be that I am just a novice blogger...I am man enough to accept that...Regardless, I must be pretty bored to continue rambling to myself on this thing! I can't even figure out how to add pictures on here! Goshh!!!

Hey Russ, the sunburn story brings back memories of lifeguard training at the 'Nook and the time you wore that guard "outfit". Anyways, it's always encouraging for me to hear/see your musings; you're gonna make a great reverend. I think you should switch over to Xanga; that's what I use now and it would make it a lot easier for me to find your page, haha. Keep it real bro. - Austin

Hey, stumbled on your link from Nikki's page...
I think everyone goes through times of thinking, "Why do I even bother posting? Nobody ever reads it anyway..." Perservere - it's a good discipline, and you never know who you may encourage and challenge by what you post.
BTW, I think I was in your Hebrew class...

Never, never, never give up...ok...I think that quote was written about something else but it so applies to blogging. Seriously, no one posts on my blog but I honestly don't care...because I know just writing it is therapeutic (and a great discipline). So please do not give up...write and we will comment!

Dear Russ,
I've decided to post my apology in letter form, since it seems more formal and genuine somehow. I am so sorry that I haven't posted. I've read your blog several times, thinking, "Wow, this guy's pretty smart," but didn't realize it was you! So please, be a Christian and forgive me for neglecting you. Can we still be friends? I know I don't deserve that kind of grace, but who does?
You're the coolest guy at Southern! (Except maybe Chris Lawrence. But he IS Mr. Southern Seminary, after all.)
Hoping and Praying,
Laura
P.S. Doesn't that signature sound like a letter to Dear Abby or something?
